It was first mass-sold in the USSR in 1981. The experimental batch was sold on the territory of the Main Botanical garden of the USSR Academy of Sciences in standard bottles with a capacity of 0.33 liters. In the future, its recipe was transferred to the food industry, and, starting in 1983, " Tarhun» it was sold in many republics of the USSR and administrative regions of the RSFSR, including the Kirov brewery.
